Casual Gym Instructors Location: Bury CouncilJob Type: Part-time, Shift Rota (6:15 am - 9:30 pm, Mon-Sun)Pay Rate: £13.26 per hr paye Bury Council are looking for three Casual Gym Instructors, to be based at their leisure centres and play a crucial role in supporting our customers through their fitness journey. This position offers a dynamic work environment where you will engage directly with customers, helping them achieve their personal fitness goals while maintaining high standards of service and safety. Day-to-day of the role: Conduct health checks and carry out inductions for new gym members.Work closely with Exercise Referral Officers to provide tailored fitness programs.Engage in various promotions, generating leads, and achieving sales and retention targets.Provide a high-quality service to customers, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and clean environment.Prepare activity areas and equipment according to the day's program.Support the broader wellness service in delivering front-of-house services that facilitate customer access and navigation.Maintain high standards of cleanliness and comply with health and safety legislation.Administer first aid when necessary and assist customers with their needs.Process bookings for inductions and programs, and perform scheduled maintenance on gym equipment. Required Skills & Qualifications: Must hold a recognised Level 3 gym instructor qualification.Passionate about fitness with excellent people skills and a strong commercial focus.Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as part of a normal working week.High levels of professional conduct, particularly in punctuality, dress, and presentation.A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service is required.
