Editor We are seeking an in-house Editor who will be responsible for Regulatory Rapporteur, the organisation’s international peer-reviewed journal. This professional organisation supports regulatory professionals to deliver better, safer healthcare for patients and offers an extensive range of regulatory affairs education and professional development, both for its members and the wider regulatory community, in human medicines, vaccines, diagnostics, medical devices and veterinary sectors. Position: In-house Editor Location: London E15 Salary: £35000 - £40000 per annum Hours: 35 hours per week Contract: Permanent/Full-time Closing Date: 24th June 2022 Please note: We reserve the right to close the process early should a candidate of sufficient experience and fit be found, do not delay in making your application! About the role: As Editor you will manage the production of the print edition 11 times a year, you will also be responsible for managing the new online publishing platform and ensuring that it achieves its potential for enhancing the organisations status and member proposition, and creating new revenue opportunities Key Responsibilities: Editorial production of Regulatory Rapporteur (print and online) Develop long-term publishing plans and forward-feature topicsReport to and collaborate with the Editorial BoardCommission and source articles as requiredProof-read and finalise pages for press and online platformSource and ensure appropriate use of imageryProduce flat plans, production schedules and liaise with printers/other external suppliersProduce the journal to a consistently high standard and to deadlinesManage and align production processes for both the print and online platformUnderstand the budgetary process related to publications, manage costsManage licensing arrangements and implications of any legal changes, e.g., in copyright legislationIdentify opportunities to use the journal, with a focus on the online platformManage the editorial production of corporate communications, including the Annual ReportMonitor relevant news sources to source articles and news itemsWork with the Marketing Team to schedule communications and ensure regular flow of publications About you: To be successful in the role of in-house Editor you will already be established in your career and can demonstrate successful delivery of online/print publications or journals and their supporting content. You will also bring with you the following: • Be highly adaptable, innovative, and eager to explore new editorial possibilities and trends • Provide creative and imaginative input while ensuring attention to detail and a focus on quality • Have experience of Adobe Creative Cloud and use of multimedia platforms • Be commercially aware, with an entrepreneurial spirit • Have an analytical outlook with a systematic approach to work and managing tight deadlines If you feel you have the necessary skills for this role, then apply today!
