This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and improve our data landscape, delivering solutions that enable better decision-making across the organisation.As a Data Engineer, you'll design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that transform data into valuable business insights. Working with both structured and semi-structured data, you'll develop reliable, efficient solutions that help teams access the information they need when they need it.You'll collaborate closely with analytics colleagues and stakeholders across the business, translating requirements into sustainable data engineering solutions that support both current and future needs.What You'll Be DoingDesigning, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-quality data pipelinesWorking with multiple data sources to unlock insights from complex datasetsTranslating business requirements into robust, sustainable data solutions and architecturesCollaborating with analytics teams to ensure data products are accurate, reliable, and fit for purposeMaintaining and enhancing our existing reporting infrastructure, which currently includes a mixture of Microsoft Access and Azure-based solutionsCreating clear documentation that makes data structures and processes easy to understand and maintainSupporting improvements in data quality, accessibility, governance, and reliability across the organisationAbout YouYou'll be passionate about building data solutions that make a real difference and enjoy working collaboratively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.Essential Skills and ExperienceSignificant experience working as a Data Engineer (typically around five years or more)Strong proficiency in SQL and PythonProven experience designing and delivering end-to-end data engineering solutionsExperience working with structured and semi-structured datasetsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to a non-technical audienceDesirable Skills and ExperienceWhile not essential, we'd be particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have experience with:Microsoft Azure data servicesMicrosoft Access and legacy reporting environmentsModernising, integrating, or transforming fragmented data and reporting systemsIf you don't meet every requirement but believe you could be successful in this role, we'd still love to hear from you.What We OfferThe opportunity to shape and improve the organisation's data foundationsMeaningful projects with visible business impactA collaborative and supportive environment where ideas and innovation are encouragedOpportunities to learn, develop, and grow within a developing Data & Analytics functionWe believe in rewarding our people for their hard work and dedication.
