Summary Of the RoleYour Responsibility as a IT Data Centre Lead will be to lead a small team working in our datacentre facilities 24/7. You will be Responsible for the day-to-day activities of a data centre from an IT operational perspective and physical security. Overseeing the company's servers and networks looking at taking preventative measures to ensure effective operations, prevent errors and keep physical systems running smoothly by providing physical hands support to Diligenta's IT infrastructure and Network teams. What You'll be Doing: Supervise staff on site to ensure project tasks, change activities, regular daily activities are fully delivered to the right standardInstall, test and maintain a wide range of IT infrastructure and cabling within our data centresAssist in monitoring, troubleshooting and maintaining data centre infrastructure and supporting multi-platform systemsProvide data centre engineering support for all remote data centres (travel necessary)Support and be available for shift and on-call work occurring outside of normal business hoursMaintain accurate and up to date rack inventory details What We're Looking For Experience in leading a teamProven knowledge and hands on experience within a datacentre environment >5 years.Experience operating within an ITIL framework with drive for continual improvement within the IT functionStrong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with : Hardware management (eg rack, stack)Backup process (Brightstor, Netbackup,Commvault) - awarenessServer hardware and ILO configuration intermediateNetwork hardware intermediateDatacentre infrastructure intermediate If you need any help or adjustments for any stage within the recruitment process due to health, disability, or any other reason, please let us know.
