SERVICE CHARGE ACCOUNTANT £30,000 - £38,000 DOE ALDERLEY EDGE (OFFICE BASED) FREE ON SITE PARKING What you'll do: As a Service Charge Accountant, you will play a pivotal role within our property accounting department. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing service charge and rent charges for various residential properties. You will be tasked with preparing annual service charge budgets, undertaking year-end reconciliations, and ensuring accurate client invoicing. Your strong communication skills will be utilised as you liaise with Property Surveyors and clients to resolve any billing queries. Your attention to detail will be key in maintaining accurate customer details and account records. Manage workload to achieve pre-determined deadlines using initiativePrepare annual on account service charges budgets liaising with colleaguesUndertake year end service charge reconciliation and client apportionmentsEnter tenancy information from leases to ensure accurate client invoicingLiaise regularly and work in conjunction with Property SurveyorsProvide copy invoices and statements to clients when requestedCommunicate effectively with clients by telephone and email to resolve any billing queriesMaintain accurate and up to date customer details and account records What you bring: Previous experience working within a property accounting environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.Ability to work proactively, prioritise tasks, use own initiative and perform under pressureProfessional telephone manner with clear communication skillsAbility to discuss financial accounting matters with surveyors and facility managers assigned to your portfolioStrong Excel skills are required.Knowledge of property accounting and ability to reconcile service charge accounts and set budgets What sets this company apart: Our company is renowned for its fast-paced, dynamic environment where every team member's contribution is valued.
