We are recruiting for a Youth Worker for a lovely primary school based in Bradford. The school are looking to recruit for a commited and positive Youth Worker to support children from the ages of 4-11 with their behavior. This will either be on a 1:1 basis or 2:1 basis. The children have SEMH, or may come from difficult backgrounds which is affecting their behavior within the classroom.

Typical behavior includes; distracting other pupils within the classroom, damaging school property, and being verbally and physically aggressive. This role can be physically demanding as it may include having to restrain children and de-escalate challenging behaviors.

People that have the following background would be ideal;
- Military
- Worked in Pupil Referral Unit's
- Experience with past trauma
- Children's Residential Worker
- Prison Officers/Police

Desired but not essential;

- Team Teach Trained/De-escalate challenging behaviors training

If you do not have this training, we can help you with this further down the line.

Please note; You must have experience working with children or vulnerable adults in a professional setting within the last 2 years, whether that is paid employment or volunteer. We cannot also sponsor any visa's. This will be Monday-Friday and the hours are 08:15am until 15:30pm, and you must be able to work and commit to those hours.

Your role & responsibilities as a Youth Worker:

Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students

Delivering catch-up sessions

Support pupils consistently whilst responding to their individual needs

Lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/work plans as appropriate

Non-negotiables:

Must have recent and relevant experience in an UK educational setting

Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills

Have experience working with additional needs

Must be able to work the hours listed above

Please note; we cannot sponsor visa's and you MUST have UK based experience. You do not have to hold any official qualifications, you just must have experience with challenging behaviors.
