Year-End Accountant

Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting to a Year-End/Closedown Accountant position. The role will be for an initial 3-6 months and will be hybrid working. 

Duties:

• Responsible for the delivery of effective and compliant financial accounting for all financial resources
• Accountable for managing and delivering effective reporting including the annual accounts
• Development of system information across the organisation liaising with non-financial and financial stakeholders
• Management of year-end and closedown processes through busy month end and annual accounts
• Ability to understand and apply technical accounting standards

Person:

• Excellent communicator, with the ability to liaise with key stakeholders and budget holders 
• Dilligent with great technical ability 
• Previous experience working within a local authority is essential
• Must be fully qualified
