We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support Year 6 students as they prepare for their SATs exams.

Here's an opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support Year 6 students as they prepare for their SATs exams. We're seeking for a dynamic Teaching Assistant who thrives on providing personalised support to empower students to reach their full potential.

Your Responsibilities:

As a dedicated Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in preparing our Year 6 students for their SATs examinations. Your responsibilities will include:

Small Group Sessions: Leading focused small group sessions aimed at reinforcing key concepts and addressing areas of difficulty in SATs subjects. Through targeted instruction and interactive activities, you will ensure that each student receives the tailored support they need to excel.

One-on-One Intervention: Providing individualised intervention sessions for students who require additional support with specific topics. Your patient guidance and personalised approach will encourage students to overcome challenges and build confidence in their abilities.

Resourceful Support: Collaborating closely with classroom teachers to identify areas for intervention and develop targeted strategies for student improvement. Your proactive approach to gathering resources and adapting teaching methods will enrich the learning experience and foster academic growth.

Progress Monitoring: Tracking student progress and evaluating the effectiveness of intervention strategies through regular assessments and feedback. Your keen observation skills and data-driven approach will inform ongoing adjustments to support plans and ensure continual student progress.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Experience working with primary school children, particularly in Year 6.

- Knowledge of the SATs exam format and curriculum.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.

- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting student success.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification as a minimum - candidates lacking the required qualification will not be considered.
  • A minimum of 6 months working in a Primary school/ education setting support young learners.
  • DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months.
  • Safeguarding trained (we offer free CPD)
  • Prevent Duty trained (we offer free CPD)
  • FGM trained (we offer free CPD)
