Job Title: Year 6 Teaching Assistant

Location: Doncaster

Job Type: Full-time, 5 days a week

Salary: £75-£85 a week

Here at Reed our team are seeking an experienced and motivated Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join our school team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the class teacher in delivering high-quality education and ensuring that pupils receive the best possible learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the class teacher to plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that meet the needs of all pupils in the class

• Provide support to pupils with additional learning needs, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

• Monitor and assess pupil progress regularly and provide feedback to the class teacher

• Help to create a safe and supportive classroom environment that fosters a love of learning and encourages positive behaviour

• Supervise pupils during break and lunch times

• Assist with administrative tasks, such as preparing resources and marking pupils' work

Requirements:

• Experience of working as a teaching assistant, preferably in Key Stage 2 or Year 6

• Good knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment methods

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
