Year 6 Teacher

Your new company
Hays has been approached by a Primary School in Wigan who are seeking a Year 6 class teacher and will be available to start on an immediate basis and continue through until the end of the summer term. This position will be covering maternity leave and so the school are looking for a confident and experienced teacher who can come in and hit the ground running. The school are looking for someone with experience in Year 6, and you should use strong behaviour management techniques to ensure children are staying on track.
Your new role
As this job role will be full-time, you will be responsible for all lesson planning and delivering and will be required to mark and assess work in order to prepare the pupils to take their SAT's. These lessons will need to be planned and delivered in line with the English national curriculum. You will need to have good knowledge of teaching SATS-based subjects such as Maths, English and Science and be confident in teaching them. You will need to work well with other staff members, including TA's.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful applicant will be an experienced teacher with recent experience within primary education, who has working knowledge of Year 6 or KS2 and delivery of SAT Prep will prove beneficial. Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). ECT's and NQT's are welcome to apply.
