Year 6 Teacher

A dynamic school in Lewisham are seeking a dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join them from April 2024 until the end of the academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in preparing students for their transition to secondary school and shaping their future success.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that accommodate to the diverse needs of Year 6 pupils.
• Provide effective support and guidance to help students achieve their academic and personal goals.
• Create a positive and stimulating learning environment.
• Prepare students for key assessments, including SATs, and help them develop the necessary skills and confidence to excel.
• Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure the holistic development of pupils.
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies and promote positive behaviour within the classroom and school community.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing timely feedback and intervention where necessary.

Requirements

• Relevant qualifications and teaching experience, preferably in Key Stage 2.
• Strong subject knowledge and a proven track record of delivering excellent outcomes.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Dedication to continuous professional development and a commitment to keeping abreast of educational best practices.
• Resilience, adaptability, and a positive attitude in the face of challenges.
