Year 6 Teacher - afternoons
Pay Rate: £61.54 - £78.62 per afternoon, depending on experience
Location: Chorley
Job Type: Part-time (4 afternoons per week)



We are seeking a dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join a supportive and vibrant school in Chorley. This part-time role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher looking for a flexible schedule, starting after Easter and continuing until the summer. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential.

Day-to-day of the role:

Delivering engaging and interactive lessons to Year 6 students for 4 afternoons per week.

Preparing students for their transition to secondary education, including SATs preparation.

Assessing student progress and providing feedback to support their academic and personal development.

Collaborating with other staff members to plan and coordinate lessons.

Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and growth.

Communicating effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience teaching in a Key Stage 2 setting, particularly Year 6.

Strong understanding of the current curriculum and SATs requirements.

Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.

Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a team environment.

A commitment to ongoing professional development.
