A welcoming Catholic 2 form entry primary school in Camberwell, are looking for an experienced Primary Teacher to join their team to teach year 5 for the first half of the summer term.

The Role

In this role you will take full-time class teaching responsibility for the Year 5 class. Pupils in the class are settled and working well and behaviour is good with consistent parental support. The curriculum is creative and varied and encourages individual learning and personal growth.  There are pupils with SEND and EAL in the class, so experience of providing additional support and differentiation is desirable. As a two-form-entry school, you will be able to work collaboratively with your partner teacher in Year 5 as well as having the support from the other teachers across KS2 and the senior leadership team.

The school are looking for a Primary Teacher who is available immediately and has the following:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Previous experience teaching the KS2 curriculum
  • An organised and hardworking approach
  • The ability to commit to a full-time role for the first half of the summer term (and possibly beyond)
  • A sympathetic approach to teaching in a Catholic primary school

This Federated Catholic Junior School is based in Camberwell and rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted.  The senior leadership team ensure there is a caring and supportive environment for all children to develop academically, socially and emotionally whilst at the school. Staff have high aspirations for children and through excellent teaching, provide them with focused challenges that advance their learning opportunities.  The school emphasizes Christian faith, through a range of assemblies and lessons and has good links with the local church. The school is easily accessible by public transport.
