Year 5 Class Teacher
  • Location: Norwich
  • Job Type: Part-time (3 days a week)
  • Salary: £154 - £212 per day (paid to scale from day one)

We are seeking a dedicated Year 5 Class Teacher to join our team for the summer term. This part-time role is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed teacher who is looking to inspire young minds in a supportive and vibrant environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge Year 5 students.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes a love for learning.
  • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests.
  • Establish and enforce rules for behaviour and procedures for maintaining order among the pupils.
  • Communicate with parents and carers over pupils’ progress and participate in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings, and whole school training events.
  • Foster and maintain a culture of high expectations for self and for students and a passion for learning.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching at the primary level, specifically Year 5.
  • Strong knowledge of the current curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Ability to create and deliver engaging lesson plans.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to professional development and the welfare of the children.
