Empowering Learning are a market leading education recruitment company. We are working in partnership with a 2 form entry Primary Academy based in Sheffield who are looking to appoint a Year 2 Class Teacher on a full time long term basis after Easter for the remainder of this Academic Year.

We are seeking an outstanding candidate who is adept and experienced in teaching Key Stage 1 curriculum and have a flair for creating exciting and engaging learning experiences for your pupils. The ideal candidate will have the ability to build quick effective working relationships with children, you will specialise in early education and hold QTS with experience of teaching the British National Curriculum for Key Stage 1.

The job

  • The school is looking for someone who is passionate about Primary Education and creating a positive start to a child's education journey.
  • In this exciting role, you will contribute to the strategic direction of your year group/phase.
  • In addition, you will provide expertise in delivering exceptional, engaging, and creative lessons which will enable students a positive learning experience.
  • To provide outstanding teaching for learning which meets the needs of all students.
  • To support the school in the implementation of agreed whole school policies and initiatives.

The successful candidate will

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have outstanding teaching practice.
  • Have excellent behaviour management.
  • Have experience of implementing a range of strategies to raise student achievement, with evidence of success.
  • A proven track record of excellent results at Key Stage 1.
  • Have experience of high-quality pupil tracking and feedback practices.
