Year 1 Teacher - Part-time

Your new company

Hays Education are working with an amazing primary school just outside Derby city centre who are looking for a part-time year 1 teacher to join their friendly and welcoming KS1 team. You will be working with the KS1 team to plan and prepare lessons, deliver excellent teaching and provide a safe and inclusive classroom environment.

Your new role

You will work Monday and Tuesdays term time-only and deliver all subjects across the year 1 curriculum. The role is from April 15th until the summer holidays, with the potential of a permanent position for the right candidate.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be able to work collaboratively within a team of staff and be flexible in your approach to teaching and learning. You will be passionate, enthusiastic and encouraging, with the ability to form great relationships with the children in your class. You will nurture and celebrate the gifts and talents in every child and ensure that all children reach their potential within your classroom. You will hold QTS and have experience teaching at a primary school in the UK.
