AnnualSalary: £26,535 + Benefits

Location: Ruislip, Middlesex

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent - 30hrs a week MON-THURS (Fridays OFF)

Mandatory: Eligible to undergo SC Clearance vetting - having this already is a bonus

Day to day of the role:

  • Manufacture, repair, and create essential items needed on the base.
  • Work in close partnership with the SWS Workshop Supervisor to ensure the highest engineering principles and procedures are consistently followed.
  • Strictly adhere to the RAF Stations’ Health and Safety policies and directives.
  • Provide training and support to the Section Apprentice, fostering a positive attitude towards learning and development.
  • Perform additional tasks as necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the SWS Section at Northolt.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Workshop Technician or in a similar role operating lathes and milling machines.
  • Skilled in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and gas welding.
  • Ability to work independently with initiative and as part of a team.
  • Full UK Manual driving licence.
  • Normal colour perception graded as CP2.
  • Candidates must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.

This full-time role is based on-site at RAF Northolt, with a 30-hour working week from Monday to Thursday, giving you Fridays off.
