The Role
We are currently seeking a skilled Wood Sander/Prepper/Painter to join our clients production team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for woodworking and a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for preparing wood surfaces for finishing by sanding, smoothing, and prepping them to perfection and then painting the finished article.
  • Operate sanding equipment and hand tools to smooth wood surfaces.
  • Sanding wood items to prepare them for finishing.
  • Preparing wood products for painting, including cleaning, filling, and priming.
  • Applying paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes to wood products
  • Inspecting finished products for quality and consistency.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with other team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the work area.

Successful Applicants
  • Previous experience in wood sanding, prepping and painting. 
  • Proficiency in operating sanding equipment and hand tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and processes.

Hours:              08:00-17:00
Shift:                Monday to Friday
Pay:                 £12.00 - £14.00ph (dependant on experience)
