Wire Person Contract

Excellent long term outside IR35 contract available for an experienced Wire Person / Cabinet Wirer. This company are exceptionally busy at present and have a full order book long in to 2025 they work within a variety of industries including Aerospace and Defence, at present there are lots of hours available (up to 55) with all overtime paid at a premium.

As a Wire Person / Cabinet Wirer you will be building bespoke black box builds and you should have experience working with D38999 - connectors as well as various crimp tools including Daniels.

To do well in this Wire Person / Cabinet Wirer role you will have a strong background in the assembly, fitting and wiring of complex box builds, control panels and cabinets.

An MoD working background and previous experience working to IPC standards would be beneficial.

Wire Person / Cabinet Wirer Requirements:

• Must have experience of Assembling, Wiring, Box build and Soldering within a high-end production environment
• Previous experience of working to IPC Standards (620, J-Std, 7711/21 etc) - certifications is not essential but any experience is greatly beneficial
• Proven experience of all aspects of box builds manufacturing processes
• Have good attention to detail to maintain or exceed high levels of production standards
• Previous experience of working with Defence and Aerospace connectors and wires

Wire Person / Cabinet Wirer Responsibilities:

• Working in a small team of specialised assembly technicians assembling complex, high value, electronic products in small/medium volumes
• Regular wiring, cable assembly and electro-mechanical assembly
• Production of products to the highest quality and reliability standards are paramount
• Perform/prepare build, test or inspection activities before and during product manufacturing
• Experience of working from complex engineering drawings and diagrams
• Able to produce neat and intricate wiring
• Ability to read and interpret engineering instructions, drawings and BOM's
