An opportunity has arisen in the UK Sales & Business Development team for a Win Team Leader (WTL) for a number of sales and business development campaigns in different Mission areas of UKSBD. This is a great opportunity to gain experience across a number of key business winning areas, working within a vibrant team at an exciting time for the company!

Job Title: Win Team Leader

Salary: Circa £80,000 depending on experience 

Location: Stevenage or Bristol (we may be able to offer a relocation package for this role)

Dynamic (hybrid) working: typically, 2 to 3 days per week on-site (or with customers), due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

This is an exciting role working at the heart of the company's efforts to secure new business for MBDA in the UK, developing a deep insight to the UK customer environment. You will form a wide network across a number of teams and functions in MBDA, and through your leadership of a number of sales and business development campaigns, you will directly contribute to the success of MBDA!

You will help secure future Order Intake in line with the Business Plan; leading multi-function win teams; defining bid strategy, and gaining commitment from key stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for the customer and MBDA. You will form strong and trusted customer relationships, understanding their requirements and challenges.

As a Win Team Leader, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Secure Order Intake in line with the business plan (ISBP).

  • Develop and direct business winning campaigns in a new and changing customer and industrial environment.

  • Establish effective partnering relationships with UKMoD customers and with industrial partners and the supply chain.

  • Collaborate with customers and industrial partners to find mutually beneficial solutions through negotiation.

What we're looking for from you:

To be successful in this role, we require the following qualifications and experience:

  • A high degree of self-motivation and drive, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Strong communication and presentation skills are a key, along with the ability to develop positive relationships within MBDA and with external partners.

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of missile systems business and industry.

  • Good understanding and experience of dealing with the UK Customer community, organisation, and processes.

  • Broad and in-depth business, technical, commercial background and experience.

  • Proven business winning skills.
