Central Employment is working with a national organisation highly regarded for their ability to provide high quality care, support, and housing to vulnerable groups across the UK. We are partnering with this client as they take on a large contract from the UK Government for a period of 6 months. Due to the length of the contract this is a temporary position with potential for extension.

About the Role: Join the dynamic team as they embark on an exciting journey, supporting individuals and families under a Central Government contract. We are currently recruiting Welfare Support Officers to ensure the provision of exceptional care and safeguarding for vulnerable families. This role demands cultural sensitivity, empathy, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide practical and emotional support to service users, addressing safeguarding and welfare concerns.
  • Monitor the wellbeing and support needs of service users, ensuring accurate record-keeping for audit purposes.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and resilience to meet the diverse needs of service users effectively.

Role Criteria:

  • Essential experience working with vulnerable and/or diverse client groups.
  • Proficient understanding of safeguarding principles.
  • Prior experience in handling mental health and/or challenging behaviour cases.
  • Excellent communication skills with colleagues, local authorities, and service users.
  • Demonstrated traits of supportiveness, trustworthiness, approachability, and empathy.
  • Possession of a full UK driving license.
  • DBS will be conducted prior to starting.

Location: Wilcott Camp, Nesscliffe, Shrewsbury SY4 1BH
Pay Rate: £15.46 per hour, with an additional £250 for a rotated weekend or night shift once per 4-week period.
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
