My client is a world leader in welding and robot manipulation. They provide bespoke solutions to a world class customer base, designing and manufacturing high precision mechanical products distributing to various industries including defence, oil, and gas and nuclear.

They are looking to recruit a Welding Bay Supervisor, responsible for all steel processing, fabrication & welding within the welding shop and sectors of the factory. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning the daily activities for staff and ensuring that quality and performance criteria is upheld.

(Welding Bay Supervisor) - Position Overview

  • Update and complete all records appropriately.
  • Monitor and maintain all safety equipment and tools.
  • Conduct risk assessments of processes within the department.
  • Manage work order closures and stock control transaction.
  • Plan daily work, based on production requirements.
  • Conduct quality control on manufactured items.
  • Teach, train and coach new and existing staff and promote a conscientious, quality driven, and safe work environment.
  • You will be required to organise CNC plasma daily operations to ensure optimum efficiency is achieved.

(Welding Bay Supervisor) - Position Requirements

  • A strong welding and fabrication background is essential.
  • Basic knowledge of Autodesk drafting software
  • Excellent understanding of 3D angle projection drawings
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Flexible approach to working hours.
  • Honest, reliable, and approachable.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and maintain correct standards.

(Welding Bay Supervisor) - Position Remuneration

  • Days being Monday to Thursday, 8am to 5pm. Fridays are 7:30am to 4pm.
  • 20 days + 8 bank holidays.
  • Shutdown over the Christmas period.
  • Employment stability.

  • Annual salary of £40,000 to £45,000 depending on skills and experience.
