Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled Welder who possesses advanced knowledge and hands-on experience in both welding and flame cutting/blacksmithing. The ideal candidate should be proficient in various welding techniques, have a strong understanding of metallurgy, and be capable of operating flame cutting equipment. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform welding and flame cutting/blacksmithing tasks according to project specifications.
  2. Interpret and understand technical drawings and blueprints.
  3. Select appropriate welding techniques and equipment based on materials and project requirements.
  4. Operate and maintain flame cutting equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  5. Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals and timelines.
  6. Conduct quality checks to ensure finished products meet industry standards.
  7. Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations at all times.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience as a Welder with specialisation in flame cutting/blacksmithing.
  2. Proficient in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.
  3. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  4. Experience with operating and maintaining flame cutting equipment.
  5. Strong knowledge of metallurgy and materials.
  6. Excellent attention to detail and precision.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  8. Relevant certifications and licenses are a plus.

This position will start off on a temporary basis however for the right candidate this role could go permanent, a great opportunity to work hard and secure yourself a permanent position.

The pay rates for this position will increase over time, however the pay will start at £14.46 per hour.

Shifts are Monday - Friday, 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm. You must be flexible to work on a rotating shift pattern.
