What's involved?

Our client in Brighton is looking for a ward manager who has experience in managing a ward either in the NHS or privately. You also need to be registered as a RMN. This is a full time position, working 5 days - 42 hours a week.

• To co-ordinate the quality and management of nursing care, patient care and the clinical environment with 24-hour responsibility for staffing.
• Participate fully with the multidisciplinary team and undertake direct patient care.
• Manage and direct the delivery of clinical services within the ward, ensuring it complies with statutory regulations, current legislation and meets quality standards.

What do you need?

• Registered on the NMC register, Mental Health
• Experience in working in and site management of an inpatient setting, preferable acute or PICU
• Experience as a Senior Nurse / Charge Nurse
• Experienced in managing change, leadership initiatives, motivating & developing others
• Open, compassionate, honest & resilient
• Capable of undertaking audits, developing, following-up & ensuring completion of action plans
• Well informed of the Mental Health Act 1983/2007, Mental Capacity Act 2005, guarding,
• DOLS & the latest nursing practices Focused on patient recovery to monitor, manage & reduce risk
• Experience of having difficult conversations with staff, patients and carers

Platinum are working with a specialised healthcare provider in Brighton. They provide a range of intensive support and rehabilitation services for people with mental health needs as well as elderly patients with dementia.

Our client has a unique set up with 3 floors with a residential care home setting as well as a private hospital setting for mental health patients.
