We're actively seeking an enthusiastic and committed History Teacher to join our team in Accrington, catering to students in KS3 and KS4. The daily pay rate for this role falls within the range of £155.00 to £230.00, contingent upon your experience, qualifications, and teaching expertise.

In this role, you'll lead engaging and informative history lessons for the students. Your role will involve bringing history to life through dynamic teaching methods, encouraging critical thinking, and fostering a love for the subject. You'll cover a range of historical topics, from ancient civilisations to modern-day events, and inspire students to develop their analytical and research skills.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to subject development by producing, reviewing and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
• Strong knowledge of the curriculum
• Punctual and reliable
• Teach classes allocated and provide a well planned challenging, purposeful learning environment
• Develop approach to self - directed learning, use technology to support learning
• Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
• Set homework and mark promptly
• Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
• Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
• Respond to questioning
