Do you have vessel & port supervisory experience Do you have exposure of port operations & ships agency Our client a global shipping line is looking to hire a Vessel Services Supervisor to join their team based in Southampton.

The Role:

Primarily you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the vessel and stevedoring activities safely and efficiently. You will need to ensure all activities within the vessel and stevedoring operation are completed and in line with the customers SLA’s. The successful candidate will need to establish policies and procedures to ensure an efficient operation plus support shift supervisors are correctly trained in carrying out their responsibilities.

You must be able to ensure a high level of customer service is given across the Vessel and stevedoring department activities including close adherence to manufacturer handling instructions.

You will also need to attend meetings as required, plus assist in other activities within skills level as and when required.

Essential Criteria:

• Experienced Team Leader
• Degree in business or industrial management OR equivalent work experience
• Good understanding of current vehicle technology.
• Experience of stevedore/vessel services
• High level of work accuracy and attention to detail
• Good knowledge/understanding of health and safety.
• Excellent communication skills
• Good attention to detail
• Full clean driving license
