Venue Event Manager

Whether they are creating a bespoke wedding within one of their listed buildings or holding a large conference in their state-of-the-art conference centre; the events team here go the extra mile to ensure a successful event from initial enquiry through to delivery on the day. Their varied events calendar isn't limited to this, their venues see all event types covering everything from corporate away days, private celebrations through to training events and residentials. No two days are the same within this busy team!

The Role

There is now an exciting opportunity for an Event Manager to join the team and work across the full portfolio of events. Responsibilities will include:  

-          Managing client relationships to understand bespoke requirements

-          Supporting the Sales team with proposal generation and show arounds

-          Preparing contracts

-          Organising all event logistics and resources for each event

-          Working closely with wider internal departments

-          Contracting and liaising with external suppliers

-          Preparing final details, event schedules and function sheets

-          Overseeing the delivery of the event on the day

-          Managing event finances and invoicing

The Candidate

Candidates must have experience working within a hotel or event venue environment with a focus towards operations and event delivery. Ideally candidates will have managed a broad variety events including weddings and corporate meetings/conferences however those with a bias towards one or the other may still be considered.  We are seeking candidates who are positive and open minded individuals with a keenness to work within a close knit team.
