Due to business growth, our client, a leading Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle Specialist based in Coventry has the requirement for experienced Vehicle Technician / Senior Technician / Diagnostic Technician to join their Internal Service Department.
 
Our client supplies a wide range of wheelchair cars, MPVs and minibus conversions. As a Motability partner, they offer a unique selection of wheelchair cars to private individuals and families, as well as larger wheelchair access vehicles to social and community transport providers.
 
Vehicle Technician / Senior Technician / Diagnostic Technician Responsibilities
 
As a Vehicle Technician / Senior Technician / Diagnostic Technician your responsibilities will include:
 
To perform all work assigned quickly, economically and to the Company and Manufacturers standards.
Specialise in diagnostics, efficient route cause analysis and repair.
To advise the workshop controller if additional work is required on the vehicle and seek assistance from them in the rectification of any faults.
To discuss with customers, problems with their vehicles as requested.
Ensure that the Company image of professionalism and quality of service is maintained when dealing with customers.
Assist management in the introduction of new methods of work designed to improve efficiency.
To deputise for the Workshop Controller as and when required.
Maintain good house keeping and health and safety practice in the workshop.
 
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
 
Essential Requirements:
 
NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or Equivalent
5 years experience working as a Vehicle Technician
Be proficient in Diagnostic Repair
Full UK Driving Licence
Own your own tools
