Job Role: Vehicle technician

Location: Grantham       
Salary: DOE

Temp (2/3 per days a week)

Our client is looking for a motivated and experienced Vehicle Technician who possesses excellent welding skills and proficiency in paint prep techniques. In this role, you will be responsible for performing welding repairs on automotive components as well as preparing vehicle surfaces for painting. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct welding repairs on various automotive components, including frames, panels, and exhaust systems.
  • Utilize welding equipment and tools to perform MIG, TIG, and ARC welding techniques with precision and accuracy.
  • Inspect damaged areas to determine the extent of repairs needed and recommend appropriate welding solutions.
  • Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding, grinding, masking, and applying primers as necessary.
  • Assist in colour mixing and matching to achieve desired paint finishes.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects and adherence to quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following safety protocols and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician with expertise in welding repair work.
  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and ARC welding techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes and procedures.
  • Experience in paint preparation and finishing is highly desirable.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
