Your future employer is offering a fantastic opportunity to join their industry leading, and growing business, in the agriculture industry as a Vehicle Technician, covering the Petworth area. A generous package is on offer, with OTE up to £45,000, 32 days holiday (including BH), a highly competitive pension, a company vehicle and continuous training. The ideal candidate will be able to carry out repairs and servicing of Mercedes Unimogs, Atego Lorries, and Isuzu Pickups. There is unlimited overtime available for this position, paid at enhanced rates after 40 hours every week. The work is mainly Monday to Friday, with the occasional Saturday, booked in advanced (all paid at overtime rates).

The ideal experience for this position will be someone who is experienced in diagnostics/mechanics of vehicles, and has a strong understanding of vehicle engine emission systems.

Duties of the Vehicle Technician / Mechanic:

  • Servicing and repairing a variety of vehicles (lorries, pickups, etc.)
  • Diagnosing faults on the vehicles
  • Carrying out vehicle inspections
  • Working closely with the parts department and updating work logs
  • Offering technical support and advice to the team, and to customers
  • Travelling from site to site, carrying out works
  • Reporting directly to the service manager

Requirements of the Vehicle Technician / Mechanic:

  • Previous experience in mechanics and/or diagnostics of commercial vehicles
  • A good understanding of vehicle engine emission systems
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong customer service experience
  • A full UK drivers licence
