Vehicle Damage Assessor - Chelmsford

Location: Chelmsford
Salary: £37,000 to £45,000 DOE

Working hours: 42.5 Hours a week

Vehicle Damage Assessor role:

  • Estimating repairs required together with the time to be allowed, materials and parts required for repairs and explain work required, to customers and to insurance and other assessors in an efficient, pleasant, courteous and professional manner.
  • Making efficient use of all modern estimating methods and work in line with approved times set by Thatcham and/or other authorised repair times.
  • Assisting in the correct evaluation and justification of bodywork warranty claims and providing comprehensive explanations thereof.
  • Ensuring jobs are fairly and correctly allocated to Panel Beaters, Painters and other staff.
  • Providing an excellent customer experience through an outstanding level of finish and repair quality.

Requirements, Vehicle Damage Assessor:

  • Minimum 12 months experience in an accident repair setting
  • A methodical approach to their workload and good time management skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • A positive can-do attitude
  • Team player mentality
  • A willingness to learn and develop
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • A full UK driving licence
