Senior Utility Surveyor / Team Leader – Utility Detection and Mapping
Working across the UK

  • Full time (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday)
  • Permanent position
  • Salary circa £28,000 - £35,000 dependent on experience
  • Full UK driving licence required

Adien is one of the UK's leading specialists in locating underground pipes and cables for utility companies, civil engineers, consulting engineers, construction companies & local authorities. We use a variety of geophysical techniques including radio frequency location and ground probing radar to locate buried services on site. Site data is incorporated into a topographical survey for presentation to clients.

The Senior Utility Surveyor / Team Leader Role:

Due to heavy workload and a desire to expand our operations, Adien Ltd are looking for an experienced Underground Utility Surveyor / Team Leader to work around the UK on a variety of projects. We are an ISO accredited company who work to high professional standards and operate to a "right first time" ethic.

All positions involve working away from home on a regular basis and will appeal to those who are ambitious, enjoy working on their own initiative and are seeking to join a progressive and growing company offering excellent future prospects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conducting electromagnetic/Radio Frequency techniques (Radio Detection, Vivax)
  • Utilising GPR (Ground Probing RADAR) and associated software suites
  • Performing drainage surveys and topographical surveys
  • Proficiency in CAD for survey data and drawing production
  • Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety/Site Safety standards


The Ideal Candidate:

We're seeking a motivated individual with a proven track record in land surveying. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven experience in utility detection and mapping
  • Proficiency in relevant techniques and software
  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety protocols (preferably)
  • Ability to work Nationally and Internationally
  • Working away from home on a regular basis
  • Full UK Driving License
