A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Utilities Sample Technician to join the team for a global brewing company based in Magor.

Shift: Days Monday to Thursday 07:00-15:30 & Friday 07:00 - 15:00

Salary: £14.00 per hour

Duration: Ongoing temporary

Start date: Immediate start available

Primary purpose and function of position:

Reporting to the Utilities First Line Manager (FLM), the main purpose of this position is to support Utilities Operators in basic routine tasks.

The role holder is required to be fully capable of performing Utilities tasks outlined below

You may be required, from time to time, to carry out tasks in addition to or instead of your normal duties, either for the Company or for Budweiser Brewing Group, provided that they are reasonable and within your capabilities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Key Tasks:

Act as a role model for safety and to take personal responsibility for their own safety and act when unsafe behaviour is observed or reported.

Accountabilities:

§ Ensure workplace activities are completed safely and to the highest standard

§ Attendance of routine departmental meetings

§ Supporting the routine operational activities through sampling, analysis, housekeeping and stock-checking

Tasks:

ü Routine Sampling Duties Include:

- 4 Hourly Effluent Water Sampling

- 4 Hourly Air Receiver Blowdowns

- Daily Liquor Sampling

- Daily Boiler Water Sampling

- Daily Cooling Tower Sampling

- Chemical Stock Taking

ü General Housekeeping of Plant Rooms:

- Cleaning and washing floors

- Waste removal and disposal as per Site Environment Policy

- Painting of facilities and equipment

- General upkeep of facilities

Key Skills, Knowledge & Competencies:

§ Able to follow instructions and written SOP's

§ Able to work as a team and as an individual using initiative and common sense and able to prioritise workload

§ Good computer, numeracy, literacy and verbal communication skills
