An Outstanding Secondary School in the Borough of Waltham Forest are seeking an Unqualified Mental Health and Wellbeing Assistant. This role will involve working alongside teaching professionals and support staff to assist children with SEND, SEMH in 1:1 and small groups, as well as in the classroom. You will also gain experience assisting class teachers to deliver class material to all students.

Unqualified Mental Health and Wellbeing Assistant Role

  • £95 - £110 a day
  • Working across KS3/KS4/KS5
  • Monday - Friday (no weekends)
  • Long-Term, Full-Time role
  • Opportunities for permanent positions/teacher training
  • Based in Waltham Forest
  • ASAP start

Ideal Candidates for the Unqualified Mental Health and Wellbeing Assistant Role

  • A graduate with strong academics including a degree from a reputable university
  • Previous school-based experience
  • A sufficient understanding of SEN/SEMH needs - previous experience is preferable
  • A committed, driven and compassionate person with a drive to learn and assist
