They are now looking for an Underwriting Operations Business Partner who will be responsible for the risk administration service delivery (data quality and timeliness) by an Outsourced Business Partner, and Underwriting Operations to the Underwriting Teams.

Operations Business Partner – Responsibilities

- Oversight of the risk administration Standard Operating Procedures, process flow charts and controls relevant to the Underwriting Teams.

- Act as the key contact, co-ordinator and point of escalation between the Underwriting Teams, Underwriting Operations, and the Outsourced Business Partner.

-  Respond to queries from all stakeholders to ensure an efficient service is delivered. Attend / lead meetings as required with relevant stakeholders.

- Responsible for the management and training of the Underwriting Operations Team members.

- Standardise services alongside other Underwriting Operations Business Partners who are responsible for different Underwriting Teams, to create flexibility in operational support.

- Identify opportunities to automate or outsource further tasks and follow governance processes and testing associated with the changes.

- Monitor daily / weekly / monthly KPIs updating Senior Operations and Underwriting Management.

- Monitor data quality entry by the Outsourced Business Partner and Underwriting Operations Assistants in PAS via sample checks and exceptions reports. Perform root cause analysis for any issues.

- Support the CSL and CIC Board’s to maintain a corporate culture, policies and procedures.

Operations Business Partner – Required Skills

- Familiar with London Market Insurance processes and systems (bureau and non-bureau).

- Knowledge of Business Partner Outsourcing to transfer and monitor tasks on and offshore.

- Proficient in Microsoft products.

- Technical authorship of Standard Operating Procedures, process maps and controls.

- Analytic capabilities to action exception reports, track and report KPI progress.

- Prior experience as a SME during change projects and adoption of new processes is desired.

- GCSE Maths grade B or above or equivalent and a minimum of 5 other GCSEs at grade C or above.

- 3 ‘A’ Levels or equivalent, or Degree, or Insurance Qualifications desired.
