JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Underwriting Support Specialist
PURPOSE SUMMARY:
The purpose of the role is to provide administrative support to the Underwriting Team and to ensure
that all administrative processes are run as efficiently as possible to support the team in achieving
Service Level Adherence targets.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Processing affordability assessments
- Preparing Miles direct proposals for review
- Running stand-alone and ad-hoc credit searches
- Producing Equifax company reports
- Management of work queues
- Assisting with mailbox queries and filtering priorities to the team
- Assisting with telephone enquiries from dealers and redirecting queries where appropriate
- Assisting with monthly management reporting
- Such other duties as management may from time to time reasonably require
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of A levels or equivalent
- Experience in a financial services role preferred
- Knowledge of underwriting processes and procedures is advantageous
- Demonstrates numerate abilities
- Able to manage tasks in a pressurised environment
- Excellent documentation, writing and speaking skills
- Excellent problem solving, communication, and organizational skills

- Excel; Intermediary level
- Word: Intermediary level
- Proposal Management System
- Workflow management
- Knowledge of Google Suite is advantageous
