Job Title: 1:1 Tutor for Trauma-Affected Student


Location: Home schooled - Macclesfield


Contract Type: Part-Time


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated tutor to provide one-on-one support to a 13-year-old student who has experienced trauma. This role involves not only academic support but also nurturing guidance to aid in the student's reintegration process. The student has a keen interest in IT and Maths but requires assistance across core subjects.
Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized tutoring sessions tailored to the student's needs and learning style.
  • Support the student in overcoming academic challenges and building confidence.
  • Foster a nurturing and supportive environment to aid in the student's emotional well-being and reintegration.
  • Collaborate with the student's caregivers and any relevant professionals to ensure holistic support.


Requirements:

  • Experience working with students who have experienced trauma or similar challenges.
  • Strong proficiency in IT and Maths, with the ability to provide support in other core subjects.
  • Empathetic and patient demeanor, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the student's life.
  • Flexible availability for 2 to 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
