Location: London - St Pancras International Station

Salary: £11.82 per hour

Position: Permanent (600 hours per year per position)

The Travel Passenger Assistant position will involve:

  • Managing the passenger "Meet and Greet" at St Pancras station you will be ensuring that Tour Managers comply with the agreed processes.
  • Acting as a support to Tour Managers by directing and introducing customer’s pre-departure answering any queries relating to their holiday/journey in an amiable and appropriate manner.
  • Liaising with the Great Rail Journeys office and Eurostar personnel regarding any issues that arise
  • Having the ability to decide the course of action to take if customers arrive late, or, appear to have limitations that may prevent them from taking full advantage of the holiday/itinerary.

As the successful Travel Passenger Assistant, you will understand the value of customer service; and you will have a keen understanding of how customers relay experiences to friends and family, ensuring that their experience is outstanding.

The successful Travel Passenger Assistant will have:

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills as well as a friendly disposition
  • Able to demonstrate an enthusiastic interest in travel
  • Smart and groomed appearance with meticulous attention to detail
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Previous work experience in a holiday/travel or sales environment (ideally, not essential!)
  • Excellent IT skills with knowledge of office software

Working as part of a rota provided up to 2 months in advance, this position will work 600 hours per year and it will include some early mornings (from as early as 5.45am), Weekends and Bank Holidays working on a rota basis therefore flexibility is required.
