Are you a motivated and ambitious doctor seeking to advance your career in Trauma & Orthopaedics? Day Webster Recruitment Agency is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a driven and passionate ST2 doctor to join a dynamic and supportive team in the field of Trauma & Orthopaedics.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care to patients with traumatic injuries and orthopaedic conditions, under the supervision and guidance of experienced consultants and senior medical staff
  • Participate in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of a diverse caseload of orthopaedic patients, including trauma cases, elective surgeries, and outpatient consultations
  • Assist in the planning and execution of surgical procedures, including fracture fixation, joint replacement, and soft tissue repairs, while adhering to established protocols and safety standards
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings, collaborating with orthopaedic surgeons, nurses, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive and coordinated care
  • Engage in educational activities and training sessions, including formal teaching sessions, journal clubs, and simulation-based training, to enhance clinical knowledge and surgical skills
  • Participate in audit and research projects within the department, contributing to quality improvement initiatives and the advancement of evidence-based practice in Trauma & Orthopaedics
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with clinical documentation standards and regulatory requirements

Requirements:
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and eligibility for inclusion on the UK Foundation Programme (UKFPO) or equivalent training pathway
  • Completion of Foundation Year 1 (FY1) and Foundation Year 2 (FY2) or equivalent postgraduate training in a relevant specialty
  • Demonstrated interest in Trauma & Orthopaedics, with prior experience in orthopaedic surgery, emergency medicine, or related specialities
  • Excellent clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and challenging clinical environment, demonstrating resilience, adaptability, and professionalism
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, colleagues, and members of the multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to professional development and lifelong learning, with a proactive approach to personal and academic growth in Trauma & Orthopaedics
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and deliver high-quality patient care
