The offical job title for this role is Hubs Mobility Services Lead

Mainly working from home but not 100% as you will be expected to attend meetings when required at their office in Carshalton and other locations as deemed necessary in the Dorset, Berkshire, Hampshire & Isle of Wight. During the training process you will be expected to go to the Carshalton office to understand the process for the role - once you have been trainined you can work from home - this would be expected to be about a month of training (give or take) .

To provide leadership on Hubs Mobility Service, for the areas of Dorset, Berkshire, Hampshire and Isle of Wight, an information and guidance service aimed at providing alternative transport options to those no longer driving, retiring from driving, or unable to drive. This role will require you attend certain other events in these locations in order to promote the services of the hub.

It is essential that you have a driving licence - you are able to request the use of one of their cars.

  • To lead and co-ordinate the activities of the regional Hubs Mobility Service ensuring clear advice, and personalised support is given to people enabling them to access transport solutions. The information and advice is available to clients across all services as well as individuals referred by external stakeholders. Be responsible for certain projects at a local level -including involvement in training design and delivery. Collaborate with other mobility centres (via the Driving Mobility network) in sharing ideas, developments, and cross centre knowledge around the Hubs offering.

To give accurate information and advice relevant to an individual’s mobility needs and personal transport solutions goals.

Use professional judgement to identify potential risk when advising clients and liaise with the wider health and social team regarding safeguarding issues.

When appropriate, signpost clients identified at risk of isolation or loneliness to support services and health related services within their community.

To network and engage with relevant statutory, voluntary, and healthcare services including social prescribers to raise awareness of the Hubs Mobility Service as well as services. This is a referral pathway that can help widen reach.

To attend events where the Hub and services can be promoted.

To continually develop and ensure up to date research on accessible transport solutions and community services in the agreed areas of Dorset, Berkshire, Hampshire, Isle of Wight and West Sussex.

  • To ensure the above information is updated and available on an appropriate database.
  • Take a lead on the development, design, and dissemination of promotional materials.
  • Ensure the Driving Mobility Website 'Going Car Free’ is updated relating to local resources.
  • To continue impact measurements and outcomes to provide data illustrating the service’s value
  • To complete monthly reporting data for and quarterly reporting data for the Department for Transport (via Driving Mobility) detailing service success, challenges and identifying gaps observed.
  • To provide regular service updates to line management and participate in supervision and PDR meetings.
  • To manage admin staff and volunteers associated with the service ensuring they have a clear
  • To manage all expenses within budget.
  • Identify organisations that would benefit from training courses, including PATS, MIDAS, and wheelchair attendant training, and deliver training when appropriate.
