Teamwork Partnership is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Planning Lead to join our client's team in Alfreton.

As the Planning Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the planning process to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery of products. This is a key role that requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Shift: AM, 7:30am-4:30pm / 9:30am-6:30pm
  • Monday- Friday
  • 40 Hours per week

Requirements:

  • Strong Sales, Negotiation, and Planning Skills.
  • IT Literate.
  • Previous Transport / Transport planning experience with Knowledge of Drivers Hours, tachograph, and WTD legislation.
  • Possess excellent commercial skills and a teamwork traits.
  • Be able to demonstrate sophisticated communication and negotiation skills.
  • 2 years of transport planning experience with a fleet of over 10 vehicles preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • You will manage a portion of our fleet and be responsible for liaising with customers, pricing, and planning jobs as well as developing relationships with subcontractors, building a network and winning new business. We are committed to providing exceptional customer service, and always delivering on our promises - we aim to build longstanding partnerships and we're looking for people with similar characteristics. A portion of your time will be spent creating opportunities, so if you're comfortable selling and handling the commercials in a transport environment then this could be the opportunity for you.
  • You'll be targeted based on turnover and operating profit, so your planning skills and ability to generate new business will help you take advantage of the generous performance bonus available and achieve the role's earning potential.
  • We have a modern fleet of vehicles and an IT system that supports efficient information and data transfer both internally and externally - we use Stream as our TMS and Webfleet as our tracking and telematics tool, experience with either is beneficial.
  • We have a dedicated Customer Service team who will support you in the role and ensure customers are kept up to date on the day of delivery/ collection as well as manage the POD & tracking processes.
  • Our customers are anywhere from large FTSE 100 enterprises, to local manufacturers that we have supported for many years.
  • Proven experience in production planning or supply chain management
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers
  • Proficient computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to finding solutions
  • Knowledge of logistics processes and understanding of inventory management principles
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
