Transitions Social Worker- 18-25 - London
Disabilities Service, working with ages 0-25
A London based Local Authority is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Disability Enablembent Service which works with service users between the age of 0-25 that have a range of complex needs:
Highlights:
- Will be supporting Social Workers who have cases of young adults between 18-25
- Transitions Service, work with service users between 0-25
- Very stable service with minimal staff turnover - most staff employed permanently
- Local Authority has recently implemented the Family Safeguarding Model
- Opportunities to work flexibly and remotely
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a broad age range of service users that each present unique cases, which include a number of clinical factors. Due to the nature of the cases the role will see you work closely with members of the medical communities, furthermore you will have access to training usually reserved for clinical staff.
This is a stable service where the majority of staff are employed on a permanent basis and the need for locums is minimal. Teams are organised to ensure that staff have supervision weekly and also have the opportunity to access senior members of the team or managers should they require informal supervision on the fly.
To be considered for this post you should have worked in a service that works with service users between the age of 0-25. You should also have knowledge of the Care Act.
