Transactional IP Solicitor

A premier Intellectual Property firm situated in the heart of Dublin is currently seeking an exceptional Transactional IP Solicitor to become an integral part of its dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the firm’s transactional practice, a sector that has seen substantial growth and development within the organization. From day one, the Transactional IP Solicitor will immerse themselves in hands-on activities, directly supporting clients with the meticulous drafting and negotiation of various contracts. These include but are not limited to licensing agreements, co-development, clinical trials, manufacture and supply contracts, sales/acquisitions, and technology transfer arrangements.

Furthermore, the role extends beyond transactional work; the solicitor will also provide strategic advice on commercial matters, internal policies, and overall strategy, ensuring that clients receive comprehensive support tailored to their specific needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting and negotiating a wide array of contracts and agreements with a keen focus on licensing, co-development, clinical trials, manufacturing, supply, and technology transfer arrangements.
• Advising clients on strategic, commercial, and policy-related aspects, ensuring the alignment of IP strategies with broader business objectives.
• Handling a diverse range of IP matters, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights, along with IT and data protection issues.
• Working across a broad and diverse client base, offering tailored solutions that address the unique challenges and opportunities each client faces.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Qualified solicitor with a strong background in transactional IP law, ideally within a reputed law firm environment.
• Demonstrated experience in drafting and negotiating complex contracts and agreements.
• Profound knowledge of intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, IT, and data protection.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
