A fast growing and incredibly successful service provider located in the Halifax area of West Yorkshire are looking to appoint a Ledger Manager to lead their Transactional Finance function.

They are a real success story - a business that has grown from a team of ten in 2015 to more than 700 people around the UK today and continues to thrive.

The overall responsibility for the successful candidate will be the day-to-day management, activities and guidance of the Group Transactional Finance Team, driving performance against set targets and providing strong leadership and direction to the team.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the process of high-volume transactions across purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control.
  • Putting processes in place to ensure and improve customer and supplier relationships.
  • Review current processes and drive continuous improvement.
  • Assist the management accountant with month-end transaction queries.
  • Oversee the aged debtor book ensuring that accounts are kept up to date.
  • Coach and motivate the team encouraging a high performing working culture.

Previous experience operating at management level and responsible for transactional teams within purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control is essential.
