Transaction Services Manager/Director

Audit and Assurance team of one of the North East’s largest and most respected independent accountancy practices, with over 30 members of staff and clients are spread across the UK in a variety of sectors, seeks Transaction Services Manager/Director to join its progressive and growing team.

You will manage and deliver opinion focused Financial and Tax Due Diligence and other transaction services on behalf of a variety of stakeholders including companies (both corporate and SME in the £5-£100m range), PE houses, debt funds/tertiary lenders and high street banks.

Your key responsibilities as Transaction Services Manager/Director will include:

  • Carrying out and delivering clear and concise financial and tax due diligence for a wide variety of clients (companies, PE houses, debt funds and tertiary lenders) on a multitude of transaction types across a range of industry sectors
  • Working closely with an award-winning CF service line to help clients use the financial and tax DD carried out to inform their decision making when it comes to the transaction they are looking to execute, ensuring that the DD findings are factored into the equity value negotiations, along with the transactional documents (e.g. SPA, SHA etc)
  • Analysing and interrogating financial information
  • Preparing financial models on behalf of clients, whilst interrogating models already prepared (this is not a necessary requirement for a successful applicant as we will deliver training if no / limited prior experience)
  • Responsible for timetabling and planning staffing for TS assignments
  • Communicating clearly and proactively with multiple stakeholders on a timely basis, raising any red flags which may affect deal value as the assignment progresses
  • Ensuring delivery to set deadlines
  • Identifying ways to maximise the relationship with the client and deliver value above and beyond the initial assignment
  • Responsible for TS business development working independently and with other members of the CF team
  • Coaching and developing junior staff to increase their knowledge

As Transaction Services Manager/Director you will need:

  • Strong experience managing Transaction Services assignments, including Financial and Tax Due Diligence from initial scope and planning to completion
  • ACA or ACCA fully qualified with practice experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Financial modelling skills advantageous, but not essential
  • Client focus and commercial awareness with the ability to develop new business opportunities
  • Experience of managing members of staff and ability to work within a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to deliver under pressure, to deadlines, dealing with a variety of people in different environments and solving complex problems
  • A positive, highly committed approach, aligning with the firm’s core values

Rewards and benefits:
