Role: Manager | Transaction Advisory

Salary: £55-75k (dependent on experience)

2 days a week in Central London Office

You will be joining a UK-based management consultancy renowned for its expertise in data-led due diligence and value creation services. The consultancy has global reach to cater to private equity investment firms and their portfolio companies, offering them unique insights and strategies to unlock commercial value through optimizing through digital, data and technology, creating value, and mitigating future risk.

Role Requirements:

As a Manager, you'll lead diverse teams on client projects, covering stakeholder engagement, research and analysis to derive actionable insights aligned with client investment goals. You will lead projects overseeing their commercial success and present findings.

We are looking for people with experience to deliver across the following competencies:

Client Engagement and Communication:

  • Engaging directly with clients, adapting communication to meet their unique needs.
  • Managing day-to-day client relationships, steering conversations, and navigating challenges.
  • Creating impactful written communications for clients across various media, including reports and interim updates.
  • Presenting findings from engagements to clients and management teams, inspiring clients with compelling storytelling that articulates project goals and value.

Project Management and Operations:

  • Managing project operations to align with client goals and ensuring profitable engagements.
  • Leading and managing projects with moving deadlines and high client expectations.
  • Anticipating challenges and prioritising work effectively, balancing client and internal needs.

Team Leadership:

  • Leading, mobilising, supervising, and coaching multi-disciplinary teams through project activities.
  • Encouraging team inclusivity, openly discussing challenges and solutions.
  • Acting as a selfless leader, facilitating team success, and providing mentorship.
  • Managing the training and development of direct reports.

Strategic Initiatives and Business Development:

  • Engaging in business development activities, including developing proposals, pitches and client presentations.
  • Building lasting relationships with existing clients and identifying opportunities for new projects.

Mentorship:

  • Contributing to internal training, running mentoring sessions, and organising events to foster a culture of continuous learning and development.

Experience:

  • Consultancy experience (ideally in due diligence) - Manager experience or Senior Consultants looking to make a step up.
  • Understanding of how private equity firms acquire and manage their portfolio (desired).
  • Demonstrable specialisms would be welcomed but not required
    • Sector specialism
    • Digitally focused and ecommerce businesses (desired)
    • Relevant areas of diligence (Commercial, GTM, Technology, Data or AI).
