Location: New College Dr, Swindon (SN3 1AH)

Salary: £36,351-£41,919 per annum

Job Type: Full-time/ 37 hours

Training and Development Specialist – The Role:

In this pivotal role, you'll drive the development and delivery of training programs for our college, catering to the diverse needs of all functions across the contract. Building strong relationships with operational teams within the contract will be essential, as you collaborate with subject matter experts from across the organization to ensure the delivery of high-quality training and development initiatives.

Training and Development Specialist – Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate and facilitate the NCS Induction process

- Supervise learning for NCS Apprentices and facilitate collaborative CPD activities

- Manage Employee Performance with staff and probation reviews

- Support coordination of Leadership and Management Training and Development

- Assist in planning and developing CPD programmes

- Arrange cost-effective travel and accommodation for professional development activities

- Maintain accurate records of training expenditure and submission for approval

- Provide regular reports on recruitment status and College Apprentice Levy fund

- Maintain HR system data related to staff training and qualifications.

- Generate management training reports and maintain compliance training records and manage training budget

- Maintain HR system records related to staff training and qualifications

- Establish and maintain a training approval process and policies and aid the development

training content and communications

- Maintain compliance training reports for audit purposes and share with People Partners

Training and Development Specialist – You:

- Qualified to degree, CIPD or CTP level, or equivalent

- Proven experience as an L&D Manager, Training Manager or similar

- Strong Communication and excellent written skills with great attention to detail

- Excellent organisational and administrative ability

- Personal and professional commitment to the college's vision and values

- Positive and proactive about establishing and maintaining excellent collaborative relationships with colleagues

- Able to maintain confidentiality and manage issues sensitively

- Building relationships with external suppliers and stake holders

- A demonstrable commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion and sustainability.

- Prepared to work at North Star or Queens Drive (or any other College campus) as required
