Trainer
We are delighted to be working in partnership with a highly successful client in Thame, who are recruiting for a Trainer to join their busy team.

Role: Trainer
Salary: £40,000
Hours: 8.30am – 5.30pm
Location: Thame

Responsibilities of the Trainer:
- Delivering Theoretical and Practical training to a diverse cross section of construction industry personnel.
- Supervise and instruct on the theoretical and practical aspects of the safe operation of plant and equipment, conducting examinations and assessments, design lesson plans and courses that fully engage participants.
- Administrative tasks relating to the Training Centre, which will include booking, processing, and recording all training and testing.
- Assist in some on-site duties, including provision of training and operating of plant supplied by the organisation.
Requirements of the Trainer:
- Hold a recognised trainer / assessor qualification
- Experience of delivering both practical and classroom-based training, ideally in the operation of cranes or other construction plant equipment and/or controlling lifting operations in the role of slinger signaller, although experience in any similar instructional role will be considered
- Hold a CPCS Tester card (highly desirable)
- Basic knowledge and understanding of health and safety legislation
- A full driving licence
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills, as well as being flexible and having an organised approach to tasks
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Previous experience of operating cranes or other construction machinery would be beneficial.
