We are looking for our next trainee veterinary nurse and require an enthusiastic, motivated, and compassionate individual who has genuine passion in providing outstanding care and client experience.

There are 7 branch sites across London and Surrey and a central 24-hour veterinary hospital located in Surbiton, Surrey. We have excellent facilities and provide the absolute best in pet healthcare.

You will work between our Surrey clinics, Cobham, Ripley and Pyrford, due to the location of the Surrey clinics your own transport is a requirement.

You may have worked with animals and/or customer facing roles before and will require at least 5 GCSEs A* - C Grade (or equivalent) including Maths, English and a science, ideally with further training.

The exciting part….

You would work with the veterinary team performing a range of nursing duties.

Voo is supportive and collaborative workplace so you will start learning and contributing from the start.

After 6-12 months you would be enrolled on a placement as a student veterinary nurse where you would train at the CAW college. This is fully funded by Voo and would lead to RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse Title (Level 3 Diploma).

You would attend classroom teaching at college one day per week and continue to work with us the remaining time.

This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week with 1 in 3 Saturdays, although the role could be suitable for part time, 28-30 hours are available.

As a trainee veterinary nurse, you would be responsible for:

• Pet handling for examinations and procedures

• Basic reception tasks: taking payments, answering telephones, and making bookings.

• Cleaning, sterilisation and disinfection

• Restocking

• Looking after patients in the hospital

• In-house laboratory testing (e.g. blood testing)

• Setting up for procedures

• Assisting the veterinary and nursing team monitoring anaesthesia and recovery

• Cleaning/bathing pets
