MTrec are proudly representing our prestigious manufacturing client, based in Newcastle, who are looking to recruit a new Trainee Manufacturing Technician to their team on a permanent basis. You will take on a dynamic and varied role, operating in a quality-driven environment to ensure that the company’s products are manufactured to a high standard. Those with previous experience in a manufacturing advantage are at an advantage, though those with any hands-on skills are welcome to apply. If this interests you, then apply now.

The Job You’ll Do;

  • Undertake training for the production of hand-made medical devices.
  • Performing craft-based techniques.
  • Using hand tools.
  • Operating machinery such as milling machines.
  • Working with metals.

About You;

  • Have a willingness to learn.
  • Have a can do attitude.
  • Be able to follow instruction, both verbal and written
  • Attention to detail.
  • Adhere to quality and health and safety standards.
  • Be willing to keep pace with change, acquire new knowledge and skills as the business grows and develops.
  • Have a continuous improvement mindset that is evident in how you work, your team and division.
  • Be reliable and flexible.
  • Take pride in your work and the achievements of your department and the business.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing would be an advantage.
